Most people look at the bottom picture and see success. I look at the top picture and see real success. Let me explain. Hypothetical numbers - Say you have 75,000. You can buy the Porsche and in 3 years it will be worth 25,000 bucks and you won't even want to drive it because a new body style was released. You trade it in and get an even more expensive car because to keep up ur image... Gotta move up can't go back to a Nissan. You trade it in and buy another 75,000 car. You've spent 125,000..... Now let's look at the top picture. You purchase this and rent it out for $1000 a month to a family. In 6 years you've collected over 75,000 in rent and the home value goes up by 50,000. So at the end of the day you've made $75,000 in rent. Property value increased $50,000 and and you sell the house for $125,000. So you walk away with $200,000. Food for thought.
