This memorial in Chicago’s Marquette Park honors MLK’s work with the Chicago Freedom Movement for housing equality. It was at this spot in 1966, MLK was hit in the head with a rock thrown from a mob of white residents who wanted to keep their neighborhood white. Today, students in #Jour282 and #CMN102 are learning about this history and its connection to the present.
