Every day I walk Mavis down this pretty street in Washington.  It's lined with beautiful old homes, like this one. Something about the shape of this house with its ornate little window, the honeycomb shingles, and the rustic fountain in the front yard makes me so HAPPY. 😍

This illustration is a bit different than the watercolor versions that I typically do - I chose a pen and ink style with more flat inks and saturated colors. Instead of shading I added stippling (lots of little black dots) to add some depth - I really wanted to catch the whimsical feel of this adorable house. \\\ and I hope they like the little print I put in their mailbox /// Happy Friday!
