COEHS Alumni Spotlight!✨

Becky Tesheep is a shining example of what dedication and passion for education can achieve! Having graduated with a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education Leadership in August, Becky has already embarked on an exciting journey as an early learning trainer at Palm Beach State College. 

Last summer, Becky had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy alongside other continuing education students under the mentorship of Associate Professor, Dr. Katrina Hall. In Italy, Becky had the privilege of comparing and contrasting cultural differences and the foundational principles of education rooted in communities with deep religious ties. It was a journey that shed light on the essence of education's evolution through the ages. One of the highlights of Becky’s study abroad experience was her direct engagement with a local elementary school. She not only observed the teachers and their methods but also engaged with students, gaining valuable insights into their perspectives and feedback. Additionally, she explored the Montessori education system, observing the practices used by both professionals and parents involved there.

Becky’s journey reaffirmed her love for teaching and education. She shares, “I have learned and continue to learn so much about the people I have served, the human race, my purpose in life, all while providing a perspective attached to the ever-changing world of education.”
