Occupying an interesting space between Pop and Realism, there is a strong post-war sentimentality to #Thiebaud’s cakes and pastries. They’re nostalgic, but they also highlight the discrepancy between the handmade and the factory produced. We don’t have any actual cake at #PhillipsBSQ, but we DO have coffee and jellybeans.
