## Caption

And the season begins: #PeterDoig's 'Rosedale' is coming to #NewYork in May! Standing at 7 feet by 8 feet, this large-scale painting was based on the artist's own photographs. Depicting a grand Rosedale manor in Toronto, the detailed surface is formed of abstract gestures that reveal a home through snow and thicket. Check back for daily exclusive #20thCentury & #ContemporaryArt updates as we get ready for our Evening Sale, coming 18 May.
