LDN - To continue the #Wegner love: here is one of the ten 'Cowhorn' chairs from 1952 which will be offered as a set in our #Nordic sale on 1 October. The immediate follow-up to Wegner's career-defining 'The Chair', the 'Cowhorn' chair is one of his smallest, most compact works: unlike 'The Chair', it uses only two pieces of solid wood to form the armrests and back. Meeting in the middle, Wegner chose to foreground the join between the two pieces of wood, instead of concealing it - making it a distinct decorative feature that would later become characteristic of much of his work. This set, as well as the 1950 'Dolphin' chair, will be on view at #PhillipsBSQ from September 24. #HansWegner
