March is Women's History Month, a perfect time to reflect on the many contributions women have made, both historically and today. 💜 Tammy took this opportunity to spend some special time with her daughter, Summer, reflecting, sharing stories, and recreating a family recipe that's near and dear to her heart. Passed down from Tammy's mom, this pound cake recipe is easy, fun to make and a great way to spend time together making #meaningfulmeals.

Ingredients:
3 cups Bowl & Basket flour
4 tsp. Baking powder
1 ½ cups Bowl & Basket softened unsalted butter
1 ½ cups Bowl & Basket granulated sugar
2 Wholesome Pantry eggs
1 ½ cups whole milk
Purple food dye

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and line a 9" x 9" pan with parchment paper then lightly grease. Line and grease a loaf pan as well. Set both of these pans aside.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder
3. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time mixing between each addition.
5. Alternate adding the flour and milk to the butter mixture starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
6. Mix until the batter is smooth and all ingredients are fully incorporated.
7.Scoop about 2 cups of batter into a smaller bowl to be dyed purple. Place the purple batter into the prepared 9" x 9" pan. Spread the batter out evenly then bake for 15-20 minutes
8. Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes then use a cookie cutter to cut out a few shapes
9. Scoop some of the original, uncolored batter into the bottom of the loaf pan enough to fill the bottom. Stack and place the cookie shapes in the center of the loaf.
10. Scoop the remaining batter around and on top of the shapes.
II. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown
