The Oktoberfest may have started as a royal wedding celebration turned traditional harvest festival in Bavarian Germany, but it has become a worldwide phenomenon in recent years. 🍻And a record-breaking one too: in 1999, there were six and a half million visitors and, in 2013, over 7 million liters of beer served. The Theresienwiese will not fill with visitors this year, but there is still plenty to do and see in Munich – see for yourself.
