#TerrierTransfers meet Elizabeth Albahary (COM'24), a sophomore majoring in Film & Television.

Can you think of a specific experience that made you happy that you transferred to BU?

"One of the first days coming to campus, before I really knew anyone here, I heard a random knock at the door and was so confused as there was genuinely no one on campus at the time that it could have been. However, I opened the door and my neighbors came to introduce themselves. This experience made me feel warm and welcomed in such a way I never had felt before. We continued to play board games and even watch a movie that night. The fact that students went out of their way to introduce themselves is something that I admired greatly, and this was the first of many times I knew I made the right choice coming to BU."

Were you given fair transfer credits?

"Yes, all of my credits transferred and the process was quite easy!"

What does BU offer that transfer students that you can’t find elsewhere?

"I would say one thing I haven’t found elsewhere is my personal sense of belonging and comfort as well as the high level of maturity and professionalism in the students here. The people I have met just being here for a few short months have been some of the nicest, most kind-hearted people I have ever interacted with. I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to surround myself with students that have been able to support and help me with my transition coming to BU as well as given me unforgettable memories."
