#TerrierTakeover: Jeff Sagurton, a Senior pursuing a Dual Degree in Percussion Performance at the College of Fine Arts and Business Administration (Accounting) at Questrom School of Business.

Within the College of Fine Arts community, Jeff is a member of the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Boston University Wind Ensemble, and Boston University Percussion Ensemble. Through his involvement in these ensembles, he’s had the opportunity to perform at venues such as Boston Symphony Hall with his fellow CFA peers and alongside his percussion professor! In Questrom, he’s an active member of the Questrom Honors Program, where he’s made some of his closest friends in Questrom. He also served on the Honors Program Advisory Board for three years, planning community outreach events and team-building activities within Questrom.

When asked what he enjoys most about BU, Jeff said, “This is a tough question—there’s a lot! Having the opportunity to connect with students from a wide range of backgrounds and academic disciplines is definitely one of my favorite aspects of being a student at BU. Last year, I worked on a startup project through the BUild lab (BU’s student innovation center) with a group of fellow BU students—one was an archaeology major, one was a cello performance major, and one was a mechanical engineering major. It was inspiring to work with and learn from students from all different schools across the university. I also really enjoy working with the professional musicians on the BU College of Fine Arts faculty. Two of my percussion professors at BU are members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and have served as incredible mentors for me throughout my education here.”

Jeff will be taking over our IG story today! 🐾
