Meet emmajpollak, a 400m sprinter representing cubuffstrack, proudly from Kent, Washington. Born to Jess and Chris Pollak, Emma's mom Jess is a homemaker with a passion for conquering marathons and triathlons, including the iconic Boston Marathon and Ironman Kona World Championships.

Emma's sister, Skyler (23), a former Elite Cheer champion, graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Now a long-distance running enthusiast, Skyler takes on half and full marathons.

A scholar-athlete from Kentwood High School, Emma graduated as Valedictorian in 2021, stacking up awards like the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence, WA State Honors Award, WA State Principals Scholar Award, and Kent Rotary Scholar. On the track, she's a record-breaker in 100m, 400m, and 300m hurdles, claiming a state championship in the 4x200 relay (2019) and earning podium spots in the 300mh, 400m, and 4x100 (2019). A two-time Junior All-American and 2020 PNW Female Track Athlete of the Year finalist, she's also Kentwood Student-Athlete of the Year (2021).

In Boulder, Emma thrived academically with the Chancellors Achievement Scholarship and athletic excellence, securing a spot on the Athletic Directors Honor Roll and Pac-12 Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll. On the track, she earned NCAA Honorable Mention All-America (2022-23) in the 4x400 Relay.

Beyond her achievements, Emma is an avid reader, hiker, and enjoys quality time with friends and family. An animal lover and sneakerhead, she's eyeing a professional track career and has a keen interest in sports media, aiming for a career in broadcasting or journalism.
