🌟 Meet @alaina.fantaski, the 5'8 freshman javelin thrower from Pittsburgh, PA, joining the @CUBuffs family! 🏹 Daughter to Dr. Mark and Michelle Fantaski, and sibling to Matt, Greg, and Abby.

🎓 A graduate of North Allegheny Senior High School, Alaina was a scholar-athlete, excelling both academically and athletically. 🏆 She secured second place at the PIAA State Championship in javelin and claimed the top spot at the WPIAL Individual Championship. Her team dominated, winning the WPIAL Team Championship two years consecutively, with Alaina setting records at North Allegheny Sr. High.

📚 Currently majoring in Integrative Physiology, Alaina envisions a future beyond sports. Post-college, she dreams of opening a gym to train athletes and empower individuals with disabilities and amputations. 💪 But it's not all about the field—she loves hiking, snowboarding, working out, and connecting with friends.

🤝 A heart for service, Alaina has volunteered for organizations supporting children with pediatric cancer. 

Did you know? In 2019, she ranked third in the nation for snowboarding rail jam and fourth for slopestyle, showcasing her skills with over 25 different tricks on a snowboard! 🏂✨
