#CubsCollection: Anthony Rizzo. On January 6, 2012, first baseman arizz_44 was traded to the Chicago Cubs. Rizzo quickly became beloved by Cubs fans and a leader on the team. Through nine major league seasons, he has amassed 218 home runs and 729 RBI, secured three Gold Gloves, one Platinum Glove, a Silver Slugger and was the 2017 Roberto Clemente Award recipient, among other accolades. Rizzo is a three-time All-Star and a World Series Champion. All of these accomplishments make him an outstanding baseball player, but his work off the field makes him an outstanding human being. A cancer survivor himself, the anthony_rizzo_familyfoundation supports pediatric cancer patients and their families and has donated millions to hospitals in Chicago and in his home state of Florida. Now in this uncertain time, Rizzo and his foundation are providing meals to health care workers on the front lines of the pandemic. “We’re going to get through this together,” Rizzo said. “We all want to be playing baseball.
