Underwater cinematographer roger.munns captures these sperm whales with a #DSMC2 #HELIUM8K mounted with an AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 17-55mm f/2.8G lens. In a situation where behavior is unpredictable, Roger says this combination lets him shoot at a wide field of view at 8K and then punch in to 5K at the long end of the lens for close-up character work. The Emmy-nominated DP uses gates.underwater Deep WEAPON housing and a revorebreathers closed circuit rebreather for silent diving, enabling him to get close to these leviathans even when sleeping, without disturbing them.
