Wildlife filmmaker Russell MacLaughlin (russ_wildlife) recalls how the team was immersed by this perfect moment of co-existence of this leopard enjoying a quiet, shutdown resort during the 2020 pandemic, turning it into new hunting grounds. The footage can be seen in the appletv show #TheYearEarthChanged.

“This sequence was filmed on a number of RED’s but we wanted to have the lightest most nimble setup, which was possible because we had the first RED #KOMODO out in Africa at the time. We paired it with the Miller Arrow 7 tripod and a Canon zoom and some lightweight DSLR lenses to make following these leopards on foot that much easier. Each project varies but working with an apex predator at such close proximity requires the lightest configuration possible.”
