Here’s another video I found while rummaging through the archives. You remember that whole “skydiving with cars” sequence in Fast 7? We did it all practically, spending a week or so putting cars with parachutes out of the back of a C130 over the Arizona desert. Being the only regular crew member who skydives, I was able to operate with my parachute on rather than being tethered to the aircraft. As a result it became my job to run around the picture cars and roll the onboard film cameras (most of which survived!) moments before releasing them out of the plane. Of course it was lukeaikins, jondevore, jtholmesjr, and normankentproductions who got to have all the fun and chase the picture cars down to the desert floor with #reddigitalcinema Epics on their helmets.
