“Historians” is spoken poem of hope. Each artist choreographed their art – dance, paint, photography- to the poetry of akil.mckenzie. ”We want this piece to give courage and spread hope into the new year. Black History Month is about remembering the past, so that we can use those same footprints to guide us into the future. Thus, we created the Historians Initiative.”
