Talk Campus Rec to Me! 

Meet Aaron Grande, an Army Veteran, powerlifter, and Fitness Facilities Operations Supervisor as he shares his Campus Rec Journey! He served in the Army for two years and says that joining the Army taught him discipline and made him more understanding of others perspectives.

“It’s gonna sound corny, but I always wanted to make a difference somehow and by joining the Army I felt like I was doing my part. And I come from a big military family so ever since I was 5 I wanted to join the Army … After I was diagnosed with cancer and I was in the hospital for a while, when I came back to the gym I was super weak again. But it was the one place where I could still go and slowly work my way back, and I didn’t worry about if people were judging me or not about how weak I was. It gave me an escape - for those two hours that I was in the gym I didn’t think about my situation and that’s what I really like about coming to the gym.” 💪
