After starting 27 games over four years at Houston, defensive lineman Chidozie Nwankwo plans to take his talents to Boulder. He also took an official visit to Missouri before picking the #CUBuffs. A long list of other programs reached out to him in recent days, after he entered the transfer portal, including Baylor, Maryland, Memphis, SMU, Texas Tech and Utah State. Nwankwo chose the Cougars over 16 other FBS programs as a three-star prospect coming out of Richmond (Texas) Foster in 2020. He was a two-time state champion wrestler there. Nwankwo's 74.1 grade from Pro Football Focus during the 2023 regular season ranked second on the Cougars' defense. In total, he played in 41 contests at Houston and had 95 tackles, 13 for a loss, and five sacks. (Eligibility: Two to play one)
