[1/6] “As an independent artist, I have self-funded all my albums and ventured solo into the profession. Esplanade has been the most supportive in recognising my contribution and providing platforms to showcase my original works. Recently, I was also given the chance to mentor new musicians. 

I've shared several milestones with Kalaa Utsavam: My festival debut was in 2003. The year after, I held my first ticketed performance at the Recital Studio. In 2012, I did Samarpanam, a ticketed show as part of Kalaa Utsavam’s 10th anniversary. Now, in the festival’s 20th year, I'm achieving yet another milestone with Kalaa Utsavam, by headlining at the Theatre.” – Mohammad Raffee
