[2/3] A heartfelt homage: Director Faisal Ishak shares what the film Take a Bow means to him, pictured here with his daughter, who stars in the film.

"It’s a heartfelt and nostalgic journey for me as I reminisce about my childhood sitting among the musicians of Orkes Suara Hiburan, observing my grandfather on his violin and my mum singing the keroncong songs. It’s a homage to my late grandfather who left his violin to us, to carry on this musical heritage."

Faisal Ishak joined the entertainment industry in 1995 and found his true passion in directing, achieving various accolades through his work. Take a Bow will premiere exclusively on Esplanade Offstage as part of the Short Film Anthology commissioned for #pestaraya2021. 🔗 in bio.
