Turning negatives into positives. 
This night at Sub Series Pro sparked my new obsession with Jiu Jitsu. I’ve always done Jiu Jitsu as a part of MMA, but after this event it quickly became my main focus. I was submitted with a heel hook almost immediately in a Sub-only tournament format. I was unfamiliar with a lot of the new aged leg locks and positions/transitions surrounding them. After feeling utterly humiliated, I obsessed on Jiu Jitsu and more specifically the new aged leg lock game. This led to a huge jump in my game and a new found confidence in leg entanglements. I never thought I’d be thankful for that moment, but I don’t know if I would have made the same progress if it weren’t for this event. #jiujitsu #bjj #sheathunderwear #wrestling
