A✨ golden ✨ trip to Australia’s Gold Coast 🇦🇺

Earlier this month, Sport Management students and alumni traveled to Australia for the Global Immersion elective course. The Global Immersion elective provided students the opportunity to examine the social, economic, and political influences of the sports industry abroad. Professional and recreational sports are a pillar in Australian lifestyle. In the next 10 years, Australia will host several major worldwide sporting events, culminating in the 2032 Brisbane Olympic games.

Over 9 days, students had a unique opportunity to network and build connections with leaders at several sports organizations, and learn more about the diverse history and culture of Australia: gcsuns , gctitans , southportsharksafl , brisbane.2032games, thegabbabrisbane, redsrugby, surfingaus, heatbbl, currumbinsanctuary, jellurgal, aflq, cityofgoldcoast and visitbrisbane.

Thank you to our partners rdksports for partnering with us to host this amazing educational opportunity!

Check out our LinkedIn page in the coming weeks for detailed content about our time in Australia!
