Sam Bankman-Fried, founder and former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, is scheduled for sentencing Thursday on fraud charges stemming from federal investigations and reports of misused customer funds. Prosecutors are requesting Bankman-Fried be sentenced to 40 to 50 years in prison, while defense attorneys are asking for no more than 6 1/2 years.
