UAPB FOOTBALL LIONS POST WINS IN NFL WEEK 4 

Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football standouts Jamie Gillan and Terron Armstead and their respective teams posted wins on the road in NFL Week 4 action.

Gillan and the Cleveland Browns won at Dallas, 49-38, while Armstead and the New Orleans Saints won at Detroit 35-29.

Gillan averaged 42.8 yards on four punts, with one downed inside the 20 and a long of 45 yards. He had a 39-yard punt in the first quarter, and a 44-yard boot in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Gillan had punts of 43 and 45 yards, respectively. Gillan also held for all five Browns’ PATs and a pair of field goal attempts as Cleveland led 41-14 after three quarters. Dallas scored 24 straight fourth-quarter points to cut the margin to three before Cleveland scored a final touchdown to seal the win.

Armstead and New Orleans erased an early 14-point first-quarter deficit to win at Detroit. The Saints scored 35 consecutive points at one point in the contest, then held on late, as the Lions scored the games’ final 15 points. New Orleans had five touchdown drives in the game, gained 392 yards of offense, and dominated the time of possession (36:46 – 23:14).

Next Sunday, Gillan and the Browns will host Indianapolis at 3:25 p.m. on CBS. Next Monday night, Armstead and the Saints host the Los Angeles Chargers at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN.
