The Frederick W. Smith Family, headed by the founder and executive chairman of fedex, has committed a $50 million challenge gift to the uofmemphis for renovations to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, the home of memphisfootball, which marks the largest gift in University history!

Additionally, a Memphis City Councilman has introduced a resolution to allocate and appropriate $120 million in State grant funding to go towards renovations of the stadium, as well as transfer ownership of the stadium to the University of Memphis Auxiliary Services Foundation.
