Popping in to announce that our No Wasted Days New York Goal Fund winner has been selected and his name is Camilo Avila!

With his Goal Fund, Camilo will be traveling home to connect with the flourishing Colombian climbing community. In his time there he plans to help develop access to equipment and the outdoor climbing surrounding Bogota. 
 
“I would take the opportunity to go back home, explore everything that Bogota has to offer with the goal to bring exposure to the climbing community. There’s a current need for access to better quality equipment and resources that will expand the sport to all who want to learn and be a part of it no matter their background. Finding reliable equipment in Colombia is difficult as not a lot of reputable brands exist there. Climbing is a growing sport in Colombia with really promising potential. There is a vast quantity of unexplored places in and around the city of Bogota. From alpine meadows to national protected forest that produce most of the water for the city...Although the community may not be as large as other corners of the world, the interest has only gotten stronger over the last few years and I want to be play a major part in all the great things to come.”
