Sun’s Out = Bellies, Scars & Stretch Marks Out!!! Sometimes, you gotta shed the sun hoodie for that first gorgeous day when spring starts to feel like summer. 

I’m so thankful to these lovely pals for spending this spring outside with me, even though most of it was rainy and cold. Together, Lizzy, Marian and I have been practicing patience and acceptance with ourselves. They helped me battle imposter syndrome as I prepared to take the AMGA LGBTQ Affinity SPI Course in May. My lead head was a mess after a year with barely any climbing due to the Covid-19 pandemic and I didn’t feel qualified to start working towards a guiding career. Lizzy and Marian held space for me to practice trusting myself and my gear. They encouraged me to keep moving forward even when I doubted myself. (The course went great btw!) 

Our time spent sitting with our feelings on the wall and in the car has helped me to feel more sure of myself and deserving of the inclusive outdoor community I crave. I truly feel a sense of #OuterPeace when celebrating our imperfect bodies outdoors and basking in the joy of collective queerness at the crag. lou.bank
