"Growing up in SoCal I wasnt much of an outdoors kid. I never liked the beach that much and the only outdoor experience I had growing up was being forced to go camping 2-3 times a year for youth scouts. 
By the time I made the move to New York four months ago I brought everything except for my old camping gear and climbing shoes, thinking I'd never touch them again. Next thing I know, I've camped and climbed to the highest point in all of New York state."
