"Growing up I always heard stories about my dad's business trips taking him to amazing places. His global footprint continues to inspire me to see the world, and learning from his military background and career in science has taught me not only the practical skills and wherewithal to survive outdoors, but also the deep appreciation for the biodiversity in nature. Spending a week in Iceland took me backpacking across glaciers, climbing up beach-side cliffs, and even exploring an old plane wreck. Coming from NYC, the biggest, often most impressive structures, are all man made; out there, the geography towers above all else, and there are few experiences that can match the awe inspiring power of an Icelanding waterfall. This adventure across the atlantic for sure holds up against any of my dad’s!" ericlhu .
