“📣If your little is struggling with the straw, you need to try this cup + technique.⁠

⭐️As a feeding therapist, here are some of my best tips to go along with the straw trainer cup method:⁠
▫️use a puree on the tip of the straw to help interest baby to close their mouth around it!⁠
▫️model drinking from the straw cup for baby! This seems like a little thing, but babies soak up so much just by observing!⁠
▫️if baby is struggling with water, try a thicken consistency through the straw cup, like a puree! This will be easier for baby to manage.⁠
▫️if baby won’t close their lips around the cup, model it, then show baby how to do fish lips!⁠
