## Caption

#16 for Simona De Silvestro, the number used with Paretta Autosport in NTT Indycar Series in the last two seasons. She has been the first swiss-italian race car driver competing at the Indianapolis 500 since 1977, when Clay Regazzoni competed in the greatest spectacle in racing. In 2010 she has earned the Rookie of the year award at the Indy 500, finishing in 14th place.
2013 has been her best season with KV Racing Technology, finishing in 13th place with nine top 10 finishes in 19 races and with an excellent 2nd place at the Shell-Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston. Until today, she is the last woman to have achieved a top 3 finish in NTT Indycar Series
Despite this succesful season, she has never been able to find a full time ride ever since in NTT Indycar Series, competing with Andretti Autosport in 2015 for three races and coming back only in 2021 with Paretta Autosport, where she has run a part time schedule for 2022 season. In 2023 their intent is to extend their racing schedule to more than 4 races per year.
