WILL POWER He was the favorite among the contenders for the title fight and he does not disappoint expectations. He fails to turn the pole into another victory as he has to surrender to Palou and Newgarden, but that does not prevent him from becoming champion for the second time after the 2014 championship. The Australian driver is no longer a kid, but the hunger for victories never fails.

ALEX PALOU The winner of the 2021 season manages to find his first victory this year at the last available opportunity. His is a real domination, with 67 out of 95 laps led, with a pace unreachable by anyone including Will Power, who is thinking about the world championship. He closes the season with a great run, hoping to be back in full fight next year. 

JOSEF NEWGARDEN Finds himself arithmetically still in the title race but must hope for an impossible feat. Moreover, he is forced to start from a miserable 25th place. With almost nothing to lose he decides to give it his all and makes an amazing comeback to second place, which unfortunately for him is not enough. He will definitely try again next year.

CALLUM ILOTT What a big shame, indeed! In the last weekend of the season he is the author of his best qualifying, where he gets a wonderful second position behind only Will Power. The first part of the race is also positive, until a technical problem forces him to retire while he is fifth and fighting for a podium he deserves.
