## Caption

Last qualifying session of the 2022 NTT Indycar Series Championship at the circuit of Laguna Seca and its legendary Corkscrew. 

Few minutes later, there is the first bombshell for the title battle as Newgarden - the first chaser of the leader Power- goes aggressively over the kerb at Corkscrew and ends his run in the gravels. Dixon, Ericsson and McLaughlin have only one shot to go through the round. Only the last two success in their goal, meanwhile Dixon is out for few thousands. 

No bad surprises occured in group 2 for Will Power, very consistent and already certain to start in front of his opponents in the championship chase. Few shivers for Herta, the last winner of the Laguna Seca GP, who makes an excursion in the gravels at turn 2 and finishes far away from the top 12. 

The fast 12 sees Rossi emerge, followed by Grosjean, Power and O’Ward. Complete the top 6 of the Round 2 the only Chip ganassi driver left in the session, Alex Palou and the rookie driver Callum ilott. Another turn of events occured with McLaughlin and Ericsson who didn’t qualify for the fast 6 due to few mistakes around their attempts. 

As the last Fast 6 of the season goes undertaking, the fastest on track is Power who takes the 68th Pole position of his career and breaks the record of Mario Andretti! He is followed by an impressive Callum Ilott, making his first fast 6 appearance. Rossi, Grosjean, Palou and O’Ward complete the top 6.
