Laguna Seca. Last race of the season, last race of emotions for the NTT Indycar Series.

The track, built in 1957 at Monterey, California, has always been a traditional season finale in the calendar of American open wheel racing. The track has seen historical races since his inaugural edition in 1983, and it has always been a lucky track for the italian drivers.

Teo Fabi was the first driver to win at Laguna Seca, then the race was dominated for four straight years by Bobby Rahal, from 1984 to 1988. Rick Mears and Danny Sullivan took a single win in 1989 and 1990, then, we saw two back to back victories from 1991 to 1994 with Michael Andretti and Paul Tracy, who won the last race of Mario Andretti's legendary career. In 1995 Gil De Ferran took the first win for Brazil, then it was time for 1996 season where Alex Zanardi took an historical win with an outsdaing overtake on Bryan Herta at Corkscrew on the last lap of the race called "The Pass". In '97 his teammate Jimmy Vasser won the race after winning the championship an year earlier, then in 1998 Bryan Herta took his first win in CART Series after defending once again from the attacks of Zanardi and he won once again 1999. From 2000 to 2004, CART and Champ Car World Series saw the wins of Hélio Castroneves (2000), Cristiano Da Matta (2002), Patrick Carpentier (2003-2004) and Max Papis in 2001 where he recovered from 25th place on the grid!

The track came back in 2019 and the last two editions as a dominant soil for Colton Herta, who won twice.

This time the season finale will see a championship battle until the end between Will Power, Josef Newgarden, Scott Dixon and Marcus Ericsson. Who's gonna dominate the monster of Laguna?
