Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, is one of the most challenging tracks in the NTT Indycar Series calendar. Opened in 1962, the Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio is in the calendar since 1980, hosting CART sanctioned events associated with USAC.

Mid-Ohio saw Porsche's first win in the major US open-wheel racing championship with Teo Fabi behind the wheel, back in 1989. In 1998, we saw a dramatic edition with the worst career's crash for Michael Andretti, tangling with P.J. Jones on the straight while passing Mark Blundell and rolling in the gravel several times.

It was also the home race of Bobby Rahal, born in Ohio and able to win twice on his home soil, emulated once by his son Graham Rahal back in 2015.

However, is Scott Dixon the most dominant driver in the field with 6 wins collected in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2019. Italy had major successful results between the 80s and 90s with Teo Fabi, able to win in 1983 and 1989. Alex Zanardi had back-to-back wins in 1997, where he inheritated the lead after Bryan Herta suffered a puncture and 1998, where he got fined of 50'000 Dollars due to a collision with Hélio Castroneves.

The most winning and dominant teams are Team Penske and Chip Ganassi, tied with 11 wins. Who is gonna extend his win streak at Mid-Ohio?
