The three most successful drivers in NTT Indycar series’ history

Scott Dixon - 50 wins

"The Iceman" is still involved in the top American open-wheel series 22 years after his debut. Since the 2002 season, his name has been inextricably linked to that of Chip Ganassi, a wonderful synergy that has allowed the New Zealander to win six titles - thanks to 50 wins and 125 podiums - as well as to place 13 times among the top 3 in the final standings and also to win the infamous Indy500 in 2008. By gaining one more victory, Dixon would become the first and only driver to win at least one race in eighteen consecutive seasons. He currently stands at 17 (2005-2021), an all-time record, achieved after having broke  A.J. Foyt's previous historic record (16).

A.J. Foyt - 67 wins 

He is the only driver to have won the 24h Le Mans, 24h Daytona, Daytona 500 and Indy 500, the last of them four times (1961,1964,1967,1977). He still holds some records of the fastest race in the world such as being the first of the "FabFour" (the others are Castroneves, Al Unser and Rick Mears) to reach 4 victories or the record of consecutive participations (35). The Houston ace is, statistics in hand, Indycar’s true ruler, with seven titles won and a record of 67 wins.

Mario Andretti - 52 wins

Also called "big foot", he is considered motorsport's "hero of two worlds”. From Istria to the States when he was still a child, he then made his way back to Italy as a driving ace, with legendary brands such as Ferrari and Alfa Romeo. Before, during, and after his adventure in F1 - culminating in the win of the 1978 title with Lotus -, Mario raced for the impressive record of four decades in the current NTT Indycar Series, winning four titles and gaining 52 victories. His palmares also includes a win in the Indy 500 (1969). His dream of winning the legendary Triple Crown was dashed though against a third and second place in the 1983 and 1995 24h of Le Mans respectively.
