ON THIS DAY ‼️🔥👟

March 30, 1995 — The New York Times shares the news that nike is set to release a new line of footwear with airswoopes22, making her the first woman signature athlete, as it had been 10 years since Nike tapped a signature athlete in Michael Jordan. 

This changed the trajectory of what was to come for staple pieces to have in women’s footwear. There was such a need for it, that Sheryl and Nike would go on to release (6) silhouettes that are still revered to this very day.
