Let's clear up some common breastfeeding myths! 🤱🏾💜

As mothers, we often receive conflicting information about breastfeeding that can lead to confusion and doubt. Let's set the record straight about common myths:

Myth #1: You can’t breastfeed in public.

Fact: Breastfeeding in public is legal and protected by law in all 50 U.S. states and every province and territory in Canada. We have the right to nourish and comfort our babies wherever we are.

Myth #2: You can't breastfeed if you have small or large breasts.

Fact: Breast size does not determine breastfeeding ability. Women with small or large breasts can successfully breastfeed their babies, as milk production is determined by hormones in the body.

Myth #3: Breastfeeding makes your breasts sag.

Fact: This is simply not true. Changes in breast size and shape are a natural part of the aging process and can be affected by pregnancy and weight fluctuations, but breastfeeding itself does not cause sagging. This where a supportive bras makes a world of difference. 

Breastfeeding photos are our most flagged photos - this is why a culture shift is desperately needed to support mothers who choose to breastfeed.
