Plot twist: the true cost of clothing is what ethical brands charge based on the actual cost to produce and be profitable (at much lower margins ) and involves paying people and having safe working conditions & “premiums” for fabrics that are better for the planet 🌍 

#fashionrevolutionweek week was founded on the basis that things in the fashion industry NEED TO CHANGE after the tragic and avoidable collapse of Rana Plaza 8 years ago. 
This year’s theme is about #moneyfashionpower and how all these systems are interconnected. 

Unfortunately this week has also become known as the 
 #greenwashing olympics within the industry as brands who are contributing to the problem are using this opportunity to put their efforts towards token #sustainability marketing as opposed to ACTUALLY making a difference. Designed to perpetuate a feel good justification to over consume.
