#endometriosisawarenessmonth I felt compelled to share my experience living with endometriosis after being diagnosed 8 years ago in hopes of bringing awareness to a much needed health condition that attend 10% of the women in this world (190 million people) 

With this women's history month theme being #breakthebias it was not only appropriate but necessary.  This feature is in honour of Aubrion Rogers who like many women was dismissed by the medical community.  Her emergency surgery resulted in a preventable death after complications from her untreated endometriosis in January 2022.

Join us as we discuss the Gender Bias in medical care, understanding endometriosis and how to advocate as a woman with your health care provider on our blog. 

It is my hope that my share will not only bring awareness but will make anyone living with #endometriosis or suspecting they do, feel less lonely in their journey to a better quality of life. Having support from friends and family for those of us living with endometriosis can be our biggest champions when we are too exhausted to look out for you - Community support is equally as important as self-care. 

To all the health care providers who truly listen and support their clients, your advocacy for our inclusion saves lives.
