“The way I love myself might look different from you as we are all unique in our own way. I start off by saying that because people think there’s only one way to do it and that’s wrong. 

For myself personally it’s looking in the mirror (aka meditating) and having the hard conversations with myself daily. Getting to know myself better and being realistic with what I am now and what I want for myself physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. 

Since I’m now 10 weeks postpartum and a busy mom - I often have to tell myself to be patient with myself when it comes to my body and weight gain because I know I won’t lose the baby fat overnight. 

Postpartum itself is a handful from the emotions and the adjustments of taking care of a little human, LACK OF SLEEP and being on for a LO no matter how you are feeling - and pre-pregnancy clothes not fitting anymore is not helpful either. 

However, my pregnancy habits can’t continue forward along with me though. Period. There’s no excuse. 

I remind myself not to get caught up in the cliche messages to just accept this as my new image and be content with it forever. 

I’m a firm believer in keeping your mind and body active while eating good foods that benefit you in the long run.
