BREAKING NEWS our bodies never left us 🤬 ! 

And FYI Absolutely NO ONE wants this messaging especially at the most vulnerable time in our lives yet they keep serving it up🙅🏽‍♀️

And while these magazine covers have gotten a little less ridiculous,  now, instead of calling it out we just don’t see new celebrity moms until they are much further along in their recovery - who are then pressured to resurface as if nothing happened with zero transparency to how they got there so quickly or why their body has no trace of pregnancy when they finally do.

Can we glorify our recoveries as we do our pregnancies on the covers of magazines without the target of looking like we never had children as the standard already?! Because our bodies never left us 😤They were intuitive enough to do what was needed to grow and sustain a human AND keep us alive in the process. 

It took 10 months to grow a little human and studies show it will take another 2 years to recover from that (and recovery doesn’t mean weight loss ). Give yourself the time, care and attention you need to honour this new stage of you. 

Remember, we are postpartum for life. It’s time society starts to focus on HOW we’re doing rather than WHAT we look like.
