I got to see our little miss today in another scan, which never gets old, and she’s growing nicely in the right horn of my uterus. For those who might not know I’m living with a Bicornuate uterus or “heart shaped” as I like to call it. ⁣
When I was first diagnosed after testing positive to PSOS I broke down. The specialist I saw told me I should start trying for kids right away because having both conditions saw the chance of having kids highly unlikely and could take years and being 24 with a new boyfriend I was in no way ready! I was mortified (this doc was so insensitive and I never saw him again anyway) yet I reassured myself I could only try and there was always adoption. Having a BU increases the risk of miscarriage, preterm birth, disruptions to fetal growth and so on although after speaking with friends and doctors who knew others with the condition whom had healthy kids I knew it was worth a shot. ⁣
And here we are, no problems falling pregnant (😬) only 1 miscarriage (most likely unrelated) 2 full term births, 1 breech, 1 vaginal birth, 1 c-section, 3rd little one growing well in the right just like her eldest sister with her head down 💪🏼 and hoping to stay that way for a VBAC delivery. ⁣
So no matter how scary things might seem at first, have faith. You’ll be surprised how many people go through very similar situations and if you believe in it, there’s a very good chance things will turn out just fine in the end.⁣
We can’t wait to meet this angel. ✨⁣
