If you do or say something that doesn't fit the majorities agenda, you best believe they will do all they can to outcast and castrate you. 
When you've lived and experienced things firsthand for yourself, your perspective often differs from whatever preconceived narrative that may currently exist.
It's almost like if you've been to an amusement park, and you rode the fastest ride there, and prior to you going, someone who's never rode that ride, let-alone, has never been to an amusement park tries to tell you how unsafe and dangerous and terrible the ride is. They're telling you this but they haven't experienced the ride themselves.
The point is, your personal experiences ought to be what dictates your outlooks and takeaways on life, not what some reporter said about something they heard.

Until you've gone, done, and experienced something for yourself, you'll never truly know or understand. What something may appear to be does not mean that it is that way. Don't rely on the opinions or so-called "facts" of others because 9 times out of 10, they don't really know what it's like either because they have neither been nor experienced it for themselves either.
