➡️ In Uganda, with the construction of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline, climate injustices such as displacement, loss of livelihood, and biodiversity loss are further exacerbated by the fossil fuel industry, placing a disproportionate burden on women and children. Witnessing these atrocities, Ireen built a movement among women to form solidarity through stories, and amplifying their voices in holding polluters accountable. ⁣
⁣
➡️ In the Philippines, Felisa leads a women's group actively working with the government and other civil society groups in transforming their communities. Though they have secured seats in council meetings, having their perspectives and insights heard remains a challenge. Nonetheless, she remains steadfast in her goal to #InspireInclusion and collective action within their communities and achieve climate justice for all.⁣

➡️ In Greece, Vasiliki barely had enough time to rescue her parents and salvage any possessions when severe flooding, brought by Storm Daniel, struck. As women disproportionately shoulder the weight of caregiving responsibilities, the impact of climate-induced disasters like this falls on them. Vasiliki's story is but one stark example of the countless women worldwide facing this harsh reality.⁣
