This is Speed.

This year we’ve had an opportunity to work with NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, US Soccer, Olympic teams, and Bobsled athletes. What were common denominators? They want to be faster. But what does that even mean? Did they all want to increase velocity? No. In terms of outcomes— everyone wanted to be able to separate from a defender or maximize acceleration FIRST, and any velocity gains on top were just icing on the 🎂

Enter above video: 3 steps creating separation: all at different angles, requiring different forces. Over the next few months you’ll see a mix of linear & non linear movements that we believe is the future of “Speed training”. There are now ways to measure acceleration ability, deceleration, — not just peak velocity. Basketball players, tennis athletes, volleyball— traditionally shy away from “Speed Work” because of the heavy emphasis on peak velocity technical training. Instead, what are the requirements of those sports from an early accel, Decel, and change of direction ability? Let’s build team.
