June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. If you have older adults in your life, it’s important to recognize the signs of elder abuse – whether it be neglect, physical or financial abuse.
 
Older adults often fall victim to financial scammers. VCSO, in conjunction with the Ventura County District Attorney's Office, Ventura County Human Services Agency and the Federal Trade Commission, will be operating a live fraud hotline to answer questions and provide assistance from 9:00am – 3:00pm tomorrow, June 15. To reach the hotline, please call (805) 299-1566.

Las personas de la tercera edad a menudo son víctimas de estafadores financieros. La VCSO, junto con el Fiscal del Distrito, la Agencia de Servicios Humanos y la Comision Federal de Comercio, estarán operando una línea de asistencia de fraude en vivo para responder preguntas y brindar asistencia de las 9:00 am hasta las 3:00 pm mañana, el 15 de junio.
