Last Friday, our Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) program graduated its 55th Class. Attendees consisted of nearly 30 deputy sheriffs, police officers and Sheriff’s Service Technicians.  Throughout the 40-hour class, class participants not only went through in-depth training but also heard from a number of guest speakers.  During the speaker sessions for this class, attendees heard about real-life experiences first hand from a gentleman and his adult son, who was diagnosed 20 years ago with autism.

El viernes pasado, nuestro programa de Entrenamiento de intervención en crisis (CIT) graduó su 55º Clase. Los asistentes consistieron en casi 30 agentes de la VCSO, oficiales de policía y técnicos de servicio del alguacil. A lo largo de la clase de 40 horas, los participantes de la clase no solo pasaron por una capacitación en profundidad, sino que también escucharon a varios oradores invitados. Durante las sesiones de oradores de esta clase, los asistentes escucharon acerca de experiencias de la vida real de primera mano de un señor y su hijo adulto, quien fue diagnosticado hace 20 años con autismo.
